Arctic Investment Protocol

On January 21st 2016, the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Arctic gathered leaders from the public and private sectors for a candid discussion about the challenges and opportunities in the Arctic. The conversation focused on how the diverse Arctic stakeholders can work together to promote economic growth in the region in ways that further community well-being and build resilient societies in a fair, inclusive, and environmentally sound manner.

“The Future of the Arctic: A Blueprint for Sustainable Development” also highlighted the Arctic Investment Protocol, which established guidelines for responsible investment in the Arctic with implications for sustainable development in other regions
