Tuva works as an advisor in the section for Competence Development, which is responsible for following up member companies’ skills and recruitment needs. The section’ss work includes skills development at all levels from secondary school through technical college and higher education. The competence area involves close dialogue with industry, academia and national authorities.  

Tuva holds a Master in Economics and Business Administration with special focus in organisational theory and leadership from University College Oslo (now OsloMet). She was previously a full-time representative at The National Union of Students in Norway and has worked with educational quality control at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She worked as a project leader in the Ministry of Education and Research before joining the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association in November 2022.
