Commander (SG) Rikard Hanssen is liaison from the Norwegian Armed Forces to The Norwegian Shipowners' Association and is part of the Security and Contingency Planning Department.

Rikard has a bachelor in Nautical Studies and four years in the merchant fleet before joining the military. He has served in the Navy and the Naval Special Forces where he has worked with maritime security operations. The last nine years he has been at the Norwegian Joint Headquarters where his last position was as head of the Surveillance Center.
