Øyvind is Director - Head of Offshore Safety at the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, covering associated mobile offshore facilities. He serves as the association’s representative to the Board for Petroleum Standardisation, the Safety Forum, Working Together for Safety (SfS), the Cooperative Forum for Helicopter Safety on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, Regulatory Competence (petroleum sector) and the Business Sector’s NOx Fund.  

Øyvind has a certificate of apprenticeship and technical education in chemicals and process industries, as well as a Bachelor of Management from BI Norwegian Business School and a Master in Risk Management and Safety Leadership from the University of Stavanger. He joined the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association from ExxonMobil in 2012, having previously worked for Schlumberger, Hydro, Transocean and Norske Skog.
