Karin is Director - Head of Section for Competence Development, responsible for following up member companies’ skills and recruitment needs. The section’ss work includes skills development at all levels from secondary school through technical college and higher education. The competence area involves close dialogue with industry, academia and national authorities.  

Karin holds a BA with Honours in Business Studies from the University of Stirling in Scotland and Kansai Gaidai University, Japan. She has extensive international experience including as manager of of Innovation Norway at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Washington DC. Karin has also worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Karin joined the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association in August 2015 from the leadership team overseeing Innovation Norway’s national cluster programme.
