Marte is currently the Head of our EU office in Brussels, where she follows EU Affairs closely and monitors regulations and proposals that are of importance to the Norwegian merchant fleet. She also represents Norwegian Shipowners’ Association’s interests in the European Community of Shipowners’ Association (ECSA).  

Marte holds an MSc in European Politics from London School of Economics and Political Science. She previously served as Political Advisor to the Minister of Defence (2017-2019) and Political Advisor and State Secretary (deputy minister) to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2019-2021).
