Maren Nygård Basso is Head of Analysis. Her main responsibility is to ensure that the association has sufficient data, analysis, and insights to use in political advocacy and to promote and secure the interests of its members. She particularly monitors processes related to climate, skills, and macroeconomic trends but also works on other relevant issues.

Maren has a master's degree in economics from the University of Oslo and a master's degree in international business. She came from the position of Senior Manager at Menon Economics, where she worked for nearly seven years on analysing of the maritime industry, both nationally and internationally. Maren also worked for one year at the Norwegian Embassy in Maputo, Mozambique.
